I just got probation what should I expect when I meet with my PO?
I just got a year of probation for punching someone in the face. which I think is way to long if you ask me but whatever. What can I expect when I meet with my PO every month? I know pee tests every so often they said but what else ?
To begin with you will be meeting your Probation Officer every week, usually for about an hour at a time. Usually after 3 months your meetings will reduce to 2 weeks then monthly. You will talk about your offence, the situation and triggers to the offence etc... all aimed towards helping you not to re-offend. If you need specialist therapy/drug rehabilitation etc... then the Probation Officer will arrange that for you.
Punching someone in the face is very serious, you seem to underestimate this. You got off lightly with this one, hopefully you will think differently towards the end of the year.
