i want to enhance my personal performance using cognitive skills for learning musical instruments whether its brain/mind technology NLP or ericksonian hypnotherapy who specialise in using the aforementioned to enhance your musical abilities thanks

apart from your phenomenal guitar playing, what other instruments do you intend to learn?
Have you already started instruction or is this still theoretical? it sounds like you want to grasp the donkey by the tail here. The practical approach of actually having the physical training underway is still the best. If you reach a certain level of competency, then is the time to add the psychological element. For most musicians, the muscle memory training has to come first; knowing which hand/finger goes where and when, and achieving a fluidity in that motion that is ergonomically correct takes hours and hours of training. Mouth position and breath control for wind and brass players takes that much time as well. We poor singers have the most to combat, because, although our bodies are the instrument, how many of us really know our bodies welll enough to begin with to play this "unseen" instrument? At least the others have a tangible one.
If you are past beginner's stage, I would check with a university with a teaching hospital ( try music therapy as well as the neuro-psychology departments) or research in your area if there are any music therapists who have the time and inclination to work with you on this.
(Refer to the National Geographic magazine of March 2005 or 2006. They mentioned a universtiy clinic where a lot of brain research is taking place, but I'm having a memory blank out here, and can't remember where.)
Or try the Mind/Life series of books. They are talks on various Western scientific fields in coordination with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Buddhist psychology. The one book that comes to mind from this series is on constructive emotions and how they heal. This is not only fascinating reading, but also will give you further links to explore for the answer to your question.
