Saving Fish

Has anyone read "Saving Fish from Drowning" by Amy Tan?

If you have please give me a mini-review. Is it as good as Bonesetter's Daughter or Hundred Secret Senses? Thanks

I read it. It is very, very different from either of the books you mention in your question. It doesn't read like what I think of as a typical Amy Tan book. It's based on some real-life occurances, which AT artfully melds with fiction.

It took me a while to get into it.. but I enjoyed it once I did. I found it less engaging than her other books, but still a good story. It has several "second line" chapters (think of that darn turtle crossing the road in The Grapes of Wrath, if you've read that) which I mostly skimmed... but overall, it was a good read.
