Do you get paid for drive time while traveling for your work?
Is it illegal to not get paid for driving somewhere to work on company hours? I am an hourly employee and I was forced to go work overnight in a town 1.5 hours away. They made me go that night and during the early evening the next night. They later told me all the time spent driving I got paid nothing for? I live in Arizona. Is there a law about this? Like don't you always have to be paid minimum wage? Thanks
What should have occurred here was the company to pay you an extra hour on the clock even though you not actually worked. Ask for a revised time sheet to make this correction. This is not only state law, but Federal.
