Travel Packs
Why do Asians travel around in packs?
In Australia. I was at uni and I notice all asian students travel around in huge packs. In the library group study area most white people just sit alone or with a couple friends but the Asians just occupy huge tables to themselves and all sit together showing off their futuristic phones.
Why is this?
I did a course in china and was surprised when I asked peopel to do things alone it was impossible for them they just giggled and sidled up to each other - When I was with soem chinese peopel at aTibetan temple I felt crowded and went to find some space to be alone and one of the chinese guys was very upset as he thought that I was very ill that soemthign was badly wtong with me. It is strange to meet another culture with such different attitudes - Some of it is down to size of population, other to custom and practise. Russians often do not do what is asked of them on courses but will mill around pretending to be trying to co-operate but passively resisting so our social history forms our ways of being.
