I know the Numbers say he is short. but i think Everyone will agree that Edgar was Way better than his numbers indicated... He was a Scarey guy in a Big spot for any pitcher to face. Along the Lines of Jim Rice. And i Know he was a DH, but sooner or Later one hasta get in, no?
Did sumone Below say David Ortiz' has a better chance than Edgar? because Edgar needs amazing numbers as a DH.. Ortiz' numbers Dont APPROACH Martinez' numbers. and Edgar Never Stuck a Needle in his Butt.
I hope so. If I had a ballot, I'd vote for him. AMAZING hitter. Often the best on the Mariners, and yeah, that includes Griffey's and Rodriguez' impressive seasons. Edgar held his own, and then some, even while those guys got the bigger spotlights.
