The Pillars of the Earth - Ken Follett?
I read this book, and I must say that I'm only a quarter of the way through it (about 1000 pages) and it is already the best book I ever read. Has anyone read this book, and you know what you think? Thank you!
The Pillars of the Earth is my favorite book. My English teacher recommended it to me 8 years ago and I have read and reread many times. The story is so beautiful and heartbreaking and I was very sad to see end. When finished, remember to pick up its sequel, "World Without End." It's good ... not quite the masterpiece of pillars, but well worth reading, and character development is equally strong.
