Should you put your arms behind your head or beside your head on your streamline?
When you're doing a streamline (In swimming, obviously) should you put your arms behind your head, or should they be right beside your ears, squeezing your head?
I've been taught both ways, but each person is so stubborn on whichever one is the best. My swim coach says behind the head is better and squeezing your head will not help at all. My old private coach is the total opposite.
So which one is right?
I've been taught both ways and I myself have also been confused about which way to do streamline. However, I find that I subconsciously squeeze my head right beside your ears because it makes it easier to take that first essential stroke. Also, but squeezing your head, you are cutting through the water faster, which is what streamlining essentially does.
