Green Gables
which novel is the best? Little Women or Anne of the Green Gables?
If there was an action live series with contemporary elements which one could be the best adapted to be shown on a tv series?
Anne of Green Gables - no question. The sequels are brilliant as well, and I never got that excited about the books that come after Little Women... you know, 'Jo's Boys' and all those ones. But if you want to read the Anne ones they are:

Anne of the Island*
Anne of Windy Willows
Anne's House of Dreams
Anne of Ingleside
Rainbow Valley
Rilla of Ingleside (about her daughter growing up in the 1st world war)*
I put a * next to my favourites!
And I would say that Anne was much better adapted then Little Women! More happens!
Having said that, I think Little Women is a lovely book too.
By the way, if you enjoyed Anne of Green Gables, try her other books, the 'Emily' series. They are also set in Prince Edward Island and go for three books. They're fantastic.
