Great Music
What college has a great music program?
I plan on majoring in music when I grow up...but I can't find the right college with a great music education program. Know any great colleges?
You might want to look into my alma mater (one of 5), the University of Oregon. You can check their website or just call 1-800-BE-A-DUCK (No, I'm not kidding about the phone number...that is UO Admissions. The conservatory and education programs at Oregon are excellent. Speaking of Oregon...and music...especially jazz, Michael Franks got his PhD at Oregon.
A lot of posters don't seem to know the difference between a program in music performance and a degree in music education. Julliard and Berklee (not the one in California) are for performance, not education.
