Why is Stephen King such a successful author?
His stories are unoriginal and boring. Except for Dreamcatcher and the Green Mile maybe. His books are so boring that I've never finished one. The closest I ever got to finishing a Steven King novel was with The Green Mile, but it dragged on and on...
I really don't know how you can say his books are boring??!! I'm a fairly avid reader, and once in a while come across a book that doesn't pull me in and I can't finish, but him? Unless you're one of those people where nothing scares you...even when I'm not scared, his imagination is incredible...I'm not saying he's the best writer or anything, but I can see why he's popular, and boring is so not the word I'd use to describe him! And I think most people agree with me, and not you...case in point, his popularity!
