Collection Unabridged
Does anyone think that apple are starting to get a bit too concerned with style to the detriment of function?
The new iPod Classic has less storage capacity (120gb as apposed to 160gb) which is bad news foe people who store a lot of photos,video or unabridged audiobooks or who have loss-less music collections on their ipods.
In an attempt to make the ipod touch the tiniest bit thinner Apple have missed the opportunity to upgrade the memory from 32gb to 64gb
Also the new macbooks have lost the firewire ports used by a lot of video cameras. Considering macs are used by media types this seams a stupid downgrade.
The new macbook pro no longer has an anti-glare screen option. This is bad news for many photo editors.
Is it me or is apple's obsession with making stuff thin resulting in prettier but ultimately less desirable kit from a functional perspective?
So now it has less performance and options on top of their expensive price just for thiness? My my, turns me away from Apple even more.
By the way, 2GB Mp3 players for the win, who has to listen to 120GB worth at one time? :/
